Daniel Sloss

Scotland’s Daniel Sloss is currently one of the fastest rising stars of UK comedy. Having performed in front of a comedy club audience for the first time when he was 16, making him the youngest professional on the circuit, he has a powerful stage presence and brilliant material that belies his age.

Daniel’s seasons of his live stand-up shows during the 2008 and 2009 Edinburgh Festival Fringe sold out. His October 2009 debut in London’s Soho Theatre made him the youngest stand-up ever to perform a solo season in the West End.

Craig Hill

After experimenting with a Boots home bleach kit on the front of his hair in an effort to look like David Sylvian from Japan in the 80's and obsessing with his cousin's Girls World for most of his childhood, Craig eventually gave in to his passion and became a hairdresser. Much as he loved the patter and the reward of perming an otherwise dull, flat bob he then went on to explore his real passion- performing!

Andrew Bird

My name is Andrew Bird. I am from Northamptonshire. I watched The Young Ones with my brothers when I was eight years old at two in the morning on Comic Relief. Because it was for charity I was allowed to stay up. I have wanted to try and be funny in some way ever since. Then I saw Billy Connolly and Lee Evans and it all made sense. I moved to South London a while back and have been doing stand up ever since. Hope to see you at a gig some time.

Joe Lycett

“Joe Lycett is one of the strongest emerging comedy talents we've seen in a long time. This young man
has a huge future” Time Out Awards:

Crowned Best Newcomer at the 2010 Chortle Awards and Chortle’s Student Comedian of 2009, Joe is a hugely talented up-and-coming comedian with an unaffected, relaxed and effortless stage presence. An appealing, engaging and natural performer, have led him to progress rapidly since his first gig at the Comedy Store in Manchester in February 2008.

Mitch Benn

MITCH BENN is not only one of the most sought-after acts on the comedy circuit but is widely acknowledged as one of the best writer/performers of comic songs in the country. Mitch began his comedy career in Edinburgh in 1994. He moved to London in 1996 and quickly established himself as a comedy club "headliner" as well as a favourite on the university circuit.

Mike Gunn

Mike Gunn’s history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”.  He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic.

Alex Boardman

Early in 2008 Alex Boardman was nominated in the Rising Star category at the Sony Awards for his work on the Galaxy FM breakfast show. That show achieved record figures for any show in the station's ten year history, however a change of ownership led Alex to return full time to his first love; stand up comedy.

2007 saw Alex's first solo stand up tour entitled "Hit The North" (after a favourite song by The Fall) at a number of arts centres around the UK. The tour was a mixture of stand up and improvisation and gained good critical reviews.

Adam Bloom

Adam Bloom was 18 months old when his parents nicknamed him The Voice. When he was 10, he told them he was going to be a comedian. By the age of 23, he was. Two years later, he appeared on the BBC TV's The Stand Up Show, had starred alongside Red Dwarf's Norman Lovett in Asylum and featured in a six part comedy drama on the Paramount Comedy Channel. In 1997 he performed stand-up slots on The Comedy Network (Paramount Channel) All Over The Shop (BBC TV), and Live At Jongleurs 2 and 4 (UK Gold). He also appeared on Ch5's Bring Me The Head Of Light Entertainment.

Addy van der Borgh

Addy Borgh has that rare talent of making people laugh when he walks on stage (helped of course by a large nose and mad eyes). Addy is a great performer of highly acclaimed and original material, an ability noticed immediately by the BBC when he appeared on the 'Stand-up show' (BBC1) after only one year as a comedian. He has subsequently appeared on 'Live at Jongleurs' for Sky TVand will be appearing in the forthcoming BBC3 series from Baby Cow Productions, "Baby Candy".

Al Pitcher

‘Pitcher sits firmly in the improvising, rambling, freewheeling comedy camp inhabited by the likes of Ross Noble and Eddie Izzard. However, unlike both of them, Pitcher is one of the best-kept secrets on the comedy scene. He is a diamond as yet not hewn from the circuit rock.
