Jongleurs Best Newcomer 2004 "Comedy Brilliance!" - Jasper Carrot 2005 Edinburgh Fringe debut with his one man show "As seen on TV" After a harebrained idea that went just a bit too far Chris first gave stand-up a go in the summer of 2003. In the 12 months that followed he was not only voted Jongleurs best newcomer but also achieved a top three placing in another three premier national competitions including Channel Four's "So You Think You're Funny?".

You don't get booked to compere some of the largest rooms in the UK regularly without having the reputation as one of the safest pair of hands in the business.

Chris has bags of charm and a natural enthusiasm which makes him irresistible to audiences and while not looking very quick on his feet, he more than makes up for it with his speed of thought. His spontaneity and improvisational skills have created a demand for him not only as a compere but also as a strong and vastly experienced headline act.

Genial white-haired Irishman Caimh (pronounced 'Queeve') McDonnell has quickly established himself as one of the circuit's most amiable and friendly acts. Equally at home performing a set or compering, Caimh is a regular at most major UK venues, and his gentle yet incisive humour makes any audience feel involved whilst playing with their expectations - sucking them in with his chatty, playful stage presence before metaphorically slapping them in the face with an unexpected punchline. Caimh is to make his Edinburgh Festival debut in 2005, with his solo show 'Futureshock'.
